Clooney’s Pub

This bar to me is the quintessential dive bar in San Francisco. Located in the Mission, this place is pure dive in the best sense of the word. I mean they are open from 6-2 (that is 6 AM to 2 AM).

No pretense of sophistication because that would be silly. Just regulars filling the bar at all hour of the day with a bartender in his eighties with no good knees pouring you a drink whenever he gets around to it.

On top of all that, maybe the friendliest group of patrons that you will find in a bar in the city.
