Marrakesh - (Fall 2025) - Day 5
Day 5 was a bit of a free day with no planned activities. After dropping off some laundry in the morning, we took a stroll through different streets in the medina before getting some lunch.
Simple Restaurant
I wanted to try some tangia which is a slow cooked meat dish. The actual more traditional and rustic place I wanted to try was not open yet for the day but this place was around the corner and had it. I liked this style of Moroccan food better than the tagines I had here.
MY Kechmara
We ventured back into Gueliz for the afternoon. This place was a chill place to have some beer. Morocco has a thing called “Gray Wine” which to me just seemed like a rosé. I think this place gets clubby at night but was laid back at this time in the afternoon.
La Taperia
Still in the Gueliz, this Spanish themed restaurant had some decent cocktails. A group of British tourists came in while we were there in search for some afternoon drinks as well.
Back in the medina, we took in the sunset at Jemaa el-Fnaa
Snack Bachar
Places like these were some of my favorite foods in Marrakesh. Super cheap and super tasty. You can pick your meat and toppings (like cheese) and comes in the traditional bread like a burger. Fast food should be this good in the US. I took a phone photo of the map location so that I could find it again as it is sometimes hard to find places in the medina.
We ended the night at Le Salama again for a drink
They must have the cleanest bathrooms in the city as this hardworking woman was always non-stop cleaning in there
