Washington DC (Winter 2026) - Departure Day
This was departure day in DC but I had a late afternoon flight so there was still time for a few activities before I left town.
Rice Bar
Grabbed lunch at this local chain. It is basically a Subway for bibimbap where you choose your protein and fixings. Pretty clever and pretty good.
National Museum of American History
There is a surprising amount of stuff in this museum and the subject matter ranges all over such as a section on food and another on transportation. The best items on display are the artifacts on display that were owned by historical figures and ex-presidents.
The actual Star Spangled Banner is now displayed behind glass in a separate low lit room to preserve it but you can’t take photos.
Got a pretzel snack at the airport not realizing it would be twice the size of my head - it wound up being a meal
